For 2024, we are once again offering the Soar Apparel Men's Slow Pitch Power Series.  We will feature four qualifiers and one state championship.  The Power Series winner will be the team with the most points after all these tournaments are played and will include individual and team awards for each classification champion.

As always, our goal for this Power Series is to develop a consistent and competitive qualifying tournament program for USA Softball of Michigan Men’s Slow Pitch teams, further enhancing the USA Softball Brand in Michigan.  This is how it works...

Men’s Slow Pitch teams competing in the Soar Apparel Power Series earn points based upon their order of finish in qualifying tournament and the state tournament.  The points will be used for a variety of perks which will further benefit the team as well as USA Softball of Michigan.

Points System:

The assumption is that winning a 24 team tournament is two times as difficult as winning an 8 -team tournament.

If a tournament is run with combined classes, points will be awarded according to the class.  The highest finisher in each class will earn the maximum points for that class as if the tournaments were held separately.  Also, The State Games of Michigan qualifiers count as "double points" for the 2024 season.  Please see below for the 2024 schedule.

Eligibility for State Tournament Play

• Play in two qualifiers and your team is eligible for state tournament play, regardless of your record.
• If you cannot play in the required number of qualifiers (2) you need to connect with your respective district commissioner to find out if they may have any berths available. If you do not know who your district commissioner is, click the link for the home page and search the district commissioner directory.  In order to be considered for a district berth and if they are available, you need to have played in ONE qualifier or your team is not eligible.

Awards

• A team award and individual awards will be given to each qualifier and state tournament champion.
• Team trophies will be given to the runner up for each qualifier with a team trophy and individual awards for the runner up at the state championship, only.
• State champions in Class D & E will receive a paid berth to a national tournament if so desired
• Upon conclusion of the State Championships, the top team in each Class for the Power Series will receive a team trophy and individual awards
